The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission ("WSCJTC and/or the Commission ) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) pursuant to RCW 39.26 for the purpose of soliciting qualifications from skilled individuals interested in providing full-time temporary services instructing and testing Firearms for the Basic Law Enforcement Officer Academy (BLEA), Firearms Instructor Courses, and Advanced Firearms Courses, hereafter referred to as basic and advanced firearms training.
Background
The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for skilled individuals to provide full-time temporary services instructing and testing Firearms for the Basic Law Enforcement Officer Academy (BLEA), Firearms Instructor Courses, and Advanced Firearms Courses. The basic and advanced firearms training is conducted in a progressive and sequential manner, with basic firearms training conducted at the BLEA Academies in Burien and Regionally over a 19-week period, and advanced firearms training conducted in various locations throughout the state with durations between 1 to 14 days.
The contractor will be required to work a non-standard workweek and follow specific lesson plans, training, and testing protocols. This RFQ is for direct consultant proposal only and is NOT open for sub-contracting through the successful qualifications.

Work Details
The primary work objective is to provide specific firearms training, testing, and program support to the WSCJTC Basic Law Enforcement Academies. The secondary work objective is to provide instructor and advanced training in rifles, handguns, shotguns, or other specified courses identified by the WSCJTC Firearms Program Manager.
The Contractor will also assist with basic and advanced firearms training curriculum development, implementation, and instruction. The Contractor may also be asked to perform additional duties in support of other WSCJTC programs such as instruction of additional programs like Patrol Tactics, BLEA Mock Scenes, and other tactics-related topics in advanced Training.

Period of Performance
The contract has a performance period of one year from the date of contract execution with four optional one-year extensions at the discretion of WSCJTC.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in various locations throughout Washington State.
