EvCC - On-Call Campus Architect(s) - Everett

Background
The State of Washington, through the Department of Enterprise Services, is seeking to engage one or more On-Call Campus Architect(s) for Everett Community College. This initiative aims to provide architectural and engineering services for various planned and unplanned projects during the 2025-27 biennium, which spans from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027. The goal is to enhance the college's facilities in alignment with its mission.

Work Details
The selected architects will be responsible for a range of services including scoping/programming, budgeting, design, construction cost estimating, bidding, construction administration, closeout, and warranty support. They will also assist in developing the biennial Facility Condition Survey and new major Capital Project Request Reports (PRRs).

Potential projects include remodels and renovations such as the Veteran’s Center remodel, HVAC controls repair/replacement across multiple buildings, fire alarm system communications assessment and roof replacement at Parks Student Union, elevator communications repairs, sidewalk repair/replacement, sewer line repair/replacement, and HVAC repair/replacement at multiple buildings.

Project goals include aligning scope and budget, effective communication with stakeholders, minimizing disruptions to agency operations, maximizing design and construction efficiencies for all parties involved, maintaining a coordinated project schedule for timely completion of design and construction tasks, and practicing sustainable design.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over the biennium from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Everett Community College located in Everett, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must demonstrate qualifications through a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that includes strategies for diverse business inclusion. The aspirational goals are set at 10% for Minority-Owned Businesses (M/WBE), 6% for Women-Owned Businesses (M/WBE), 5% for Veteran-Owned Businesses (VOSB), and 5% for Washington Small Businesses. Firms must register with the DES Diversity Compliance program (B2Gnow) post-selection.
