Digester #2 Cleaning

Background
The City of Port Angeles Public Works and Utilities Department is requesting bids to empty and clean the #2 anaerobic digester at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1509 E Columbia St, Port Angeles, WA. The Engineer's estimate for the project is $130,000 - $160,000.

Work Details
The Contractor shall perform the work as described in Attachment A, which includes emptying and cleaning the #2 anaerobic digester at the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Contractor will be responsible for removal of all liquids, solids, and final cleaning within the anaerobic digester after City Staff vents, pumps down the level, and opens the digester for contractor access.
The Contractor shall provide continuous ventilation when performing work inside the Digester. The means and methods for the removal, handling, and disposal of digester contents shall be determined by the Contractor. Onsite dewatering or trucking the liquid offsite are acceptable. The Contractor shall be responsible for damages to asphalt surfaces caused by negligence and shall repair any damage to the existing condition at their cost.

Period of Performance
The performance period under this Contract commences calendar days after notice to proceed and ends days thereafter.

The geographic location for this contract is at City of Port Angeles Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located at 1509 E Columbia St, Port Angeles, WA 98362.
