Description

Background
Pierce County Parks and Recreation department is seeking a vendor to provide and maintain food and beverage vending machine services at Sprinker Recreation Center and Lakewood Community Center. The goal is to enhance the convenience of park participants by offering a variety of food and beverage options, including hot beverages, cold beverages, snacks, and healthy food choices.

Work Details
The vendor will furnish, install, maintain, and stock coin/card operated vending machines at the following locations:

- Sprinker Recreation Center (521 Military Rd S, Tacoma 98444)
- Lakewood Community Center (9112 Lakewood Drive SW, Lakewood 98499)

All equipment must be new or like new, kept clean and presentable, and equipped with card readers for credit card use. Machines must be restocked at least once per week with unexpired products. The vendor is responsible for moving machines within the building if requested at no charge. Additionally, the vendor must maintain their equipment at their expense, respond to service requests within 12 hours, provide replacement machines if necessary, collect all revenues from the vending machines, submit monthly or quarterly sales reports to the County, and process refunds for any issues with product dispensing.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is anticipated to be for one year with an option to renew for an additional four years based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Sprinker Recreation Center in Tacoma and Lakewood Community Center in Lakewood, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws including licensing requirements. They should also demonstrate experience in providing similar services. Proposals must include a pricing sheet detailing commission percentages on sales from vending machines.
