Background
Snohomish County is seeking proposals from qualified firms to assist in a comprehensive redesign of the County’s main public website, snohomishwa.gov.
The current website, managed by Snohomish County Central IT and hosted by CivicPlus, has not undergone significant redesign since its inception in 2013.
The project aims to address issues related to information architecture, content governance, and ADA compliance, informed by a roadmap created by a consultant in 2023.
Work Details
The successful proposer shall evaluate and document the current state of the main website, identify county needs and goals, and propose a future state design that includes governance and ADA compliance.
They will implement a comprehensive redesign of the main website with assistance from the County and help establish an effective content supply chain model for managing and maintaining the site.
Additionally, they will ensure that the site meets ADA compliance standards throughout its content lifecycle.
The project focuses on the main County website only, with potential amendments to include other subsites based on initial engagement outcomes.
Period of Performance
The contract term will be effective upon execution for three (3) years with an option to extend for one (1) additional year.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily at Snohomish County's location in Everett, Washington.
