Description

The Washington State Department of Corrections ( DOC ) is posting this Request for Information to obtain information about potential vendors that can provide services that support individuals transitioning from DOC confinement to the community. The purpose of these programs is to assist individuals by providing programs, services, and interventions to enhance and support a safe reentry into the community, while also removing or reducing barriers to their successful reentry.
Background
The Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking information from potential vendors to provide community-based reentry services for individuals transitioning from confinement to the community. The goal is to enhance public safety by supporting successful reentry through various programs and services, particularly in areas where such services are currently limited, including Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, Kittitas, Lincoln, and Stevens counties.

The DOC aims to bridge the gap between confinement and community reintegration by offering equitable services statewide.

Work Details
Vendors are expected to provide a range of programs and services designed to assist individuals in their transition back into the community. These may include:
- Transportation services
- Food service programs
- Employment assistance
- Parenting programs
- Mental health services
- Peer support groups
- Mentoring programs
- Veteran’s services
- Faith-based initiatives.

Vendors must be professionally licensed and insured to deliver these services and comply with DOC health and safety protocols. Services may be provided on-site at DOC facilities or off-site in designated locations or homes.

Period of Performance
The contract's period of performance will depend on the specific agreements made following the RFI responses but is anticipated to accommodate approximately five hundred individuals transitioning each month.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at or near Washington State Department of Corrections facilities and designated program locations within Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, Kittitas, Lincoln, and Stevens counties. Additionally, virtual programs may be offered across other locations in Washington State.
