This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued by UW Medicine Supply Chain for clinical onsite and virtual scribe services, specifically targeting qualified U.S.-based bidders to provide these services exclusively through employees located in the United States.
Work Details
The contractor will provide clinical scribe services, which include both onsite and virtual support for healthcare providers. Scribes will assist with real-time documentation across various medical specialties such as primary care, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, gastroenterology, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and surgical specialties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Documenting patient encounters in real-time during clinical visits.
- Adhering to standards set by the American College of Medical Scribe Specialists.
- Ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Using Epic software for documentation.
- Participating in workflow assessments to streamline operations.
Prohibited duties include participating in patient care activities or advising on billing without physician supervision. All scribes must be U.S.-based and cannot use offshore personnel or subcontractors.

The contract period is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. There are options for extensions up to three additional years based on mutual agreement.
