Description

Work Requested:
The City of Bellingham is seeking sealed proposals for the construction of the 33B-2026 CITYWIDE NON-MOTORIZED IMPROVEMENTS ES572 project. The scope of work includes:
  • Bicycle and pedestrian improvements in ten areas throughout the City of Bellingham.
  • Refreshing and widening bicycle lane lines on Lakeway, from Woburn St to City Limits.
  • Installing shared lane markings (sharrows) on G and H Streets from Dupont to W North, and on W North from Cornwall to Broadway.
  • Upgrading seven intersections to include protected pedestrian crossings, with four intersections receiving ADA ramp upgrades and one intersection receiving a new street light.
  • Revising one intersection at E Maple and Mason on the west side of Ellis Street, including upgraded curb ramps.

Contract Requirements:
All proposals must be submitted using the Bid Proposal form provided by the City of Bellingham. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, money order, or bid bond payable to the Finance Director, in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security will be accepted.

Sealed proposals will be received at the City of Bellingham Purchasing Office until June 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. After the deadline, proposals will be publicly opened and read.
