Call for Bids - Myra Road South Extension - SR125 to Taumarson Road

Background
The City of Walla Walla, Washington, is inviting bids for the construction of the Myra Road South Extension project. This project aims to extend Myra Road from its existing terminus at SR125 south to Taumarson Road.

The initiative is part of the city's efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance transportation in the area.

Work Details
The project includes the following construction elements:
- Roadway and roundabout construction
- Installation of water, sewer, and storm utility piping
- Development of stormwater facilities
- Construction of sidewalks
- Curb and gutter installation
- ADA ramps
- Illumination systems
- Landscaping
- Roadway paving.

The work will be conducted within the City of Walla Walla and WSDOT right-of-way as per the attached Contract Plans and Standard Specifications. A mandatory requirement is that 15% of total labor hours must be apprentice labor hours. There are also monetary incentives and penalties related to apprentice participation outlined in the Contract Documents.

Period of Performance
The project will be completed in two phases: Phase 1 in 2025 and Phase 2 in 2026. The total contract time for all work is set at 240 working days.
