Description

Background
The Bow Lake Recycling & Transfer Station (BLRTS) is undertaking a project to construct two recycling canopies (East & West) in the South Processing Area (SPA).
The goal of this contract is to enhance the recycling capabilities at the facility, which aligns with the agency's mission to promote sustainable waste management practices.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Construction of two recycling canopies (East and West) at the SPA.
2. Installation of a sprinkler riser shed.
3. Installation of a shredder near the drop chute.
4. General conditions including Traffic Control Plan (TCP), Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control (TESC) Plan, mobilization, site supervision, and project management.
5. Provision of a trench excavation safety system as per contract documents, with explicit prohibition against including this as an incidental cost.
6. Engagement of a licensed structural or civil engineer for necessary reviews and designs related to construction loads and safety procedures.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence on 02/11/2026 and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe that will be detailed in the final contract documents.
