Description

The Washington State Patrol, contemplates awarding a sole source contract for a Augmented Reality Mapping System (ARS).
Background
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is contemplating awarding a sole source contract to Shotover for the provision of an Augmented Reality Mapping System (ARS). The WSP Aviation Section operates fixed-wing aircraft equipped with advanced camera systems that require a mapping technology capable of providing real-time map overlays to the aircrew. This technology is essential for delivering critical location information to law enforcement officers on the ground.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of one (1) ARS-750C Augmented Reality Mapping System, which includes:

1. **Hardware**: A compact and rugged ARS-750C system weighing only 2.9 lbs, designed to save weight and installation time on aircraft.

2. **Software Features**: The system provides street labels, rooftop addresses, business names across the Continental US, built-in speed measurement capabilities, aerial synthetic imagery for visibility in adverse conditions, and allows saving of flight paths and video footage.

3. **Digital Video Recorders**: Capable of recording two HD channels simultaneously with features like on-screen control and a 30-second buffer recording capability.

Additionally, a second ARS system is anticipated for purchase in 2025.
