Background
The City of Vancouver, located on the I-5 corridor and along the Columbia River, is responsible for vital municipal infrastructure and urban services. This includes building and repairing roads, maintaining water and sewer services, and providing fire and police protection.
The 2026 Resurfacing Project aims to improve streets within the city as part of its commitment to enhance urban services for its projected population growth from 202,600 in 2024 to over 268,000 by 2042.
Work Details
The contract encompasses various street improvement activities including:
- Pavement repairs
- Planing of roadways
- Paving of existing roads
- Minor utility adjustments
- Temporary striping
- Other related work.
All tasks must adhere to the attached Contract Plans, Provisions, and Standard Specifications. The work is required to be physically complete within 25 working days from the Notice to Proceed.
Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 25 working days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
Place of Performance
The project will take place within the City of Vancouver, Washington.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with several requirements including:
- Having a certificate of registration in compliance with applicable RCWs
- A current Washington Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number
- Not being disqualified from bidding on public works contracts
- Maintaining industrial insurance coverage
- Meeting apprenticeship utilization requirements.
Additionally, bidders are required to submit a list of subcontractors for specific trades such as electrical and plumbing work.
