Description

Work Requested:
The City of Richland is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive pump maintenance and repair services as part of the 2026 Pump Maintenance and Repair Program. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
  • Furnishing all materials (excluding those specifically identified as owner-furnished), labor, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the project.
  • Removal, transport, inspection, routine maintenance, and reconditioning of six (6) sets of vertical turbine pumps and motors, and one (1) set of submersible pumps and motors.
  • Reinstallation of all serviced pumps and motors.
  • As needed, repair or replacement of pumps and motors.

Who is Requesting:
This solicitation is issued by the City of Richland Purchasing Division.

Background:
An Invitation to Bid has been issued in accordance with RCW 35.22.620, which allows the use of a Small Works Roster to solicit bids for this type of project. The engineer's estimate for this work is $117,000.

Contract Requirements:
  • This is a restrictive bid. Only contractors who have both:
    • Completed an application and been accepted to the MRSC Small Works Roster under the category of Pipe and Underground Utility Infrastructure Pumps and Valves, and
    • Received a direct invitation to bid from the City of Richland Purchasing Division
  • are eligible to submit bids.

Instructions on Submission:
To be eligible to bid, you must receive an email invitation directly from the City of Richland Purchasing Division. If you only received notice from Public Purchase, you are not necessarily eligible to bid. For questions regarding your eligibility, contact Purchasing at 509-942-7710.
