Bethel Paving Municipal Parking Lot

Background
The Town of Bethel, Vermont is seeking proposals for the cold planning (asphalt milling) and repaving of its Municipal Parking Lot. The goal of this contract is to enhance the parking facilities for the community, ensuring a safe and accessible environment for residents and visitors.

Work Details
Contractors are required to furnish all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the project. The scope of work includes:

1. Cold planning approximately 2,000 square yards of asphalt, with the milled material to be transported to the Town Garage located at 443 Sand Hill.

2. Fine grading of the surface.

3. Installation of approximately 340 tons of pavement based on a thickness of 3 inches using two lifts.

Optional pricing is requested for line striping of 8-foot parking stalls, although this is not mandatory.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed no later than Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Place of Performance
The project will take place at the Municipal Parking Lot in Bethel, Vermont.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Certificate of Insurance showing coverage no less than $1,000,000 and proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance prior to commencing work. The chosen contractor may also be required to provide references demonstrating successful completion of similar projects. Additionally, bidders must comply with all relevant safety regulations including DEC MRGP, MUTCD, OSHA, and VOSHA requirements.
