Hazmat Assessment & Abatement/Demolition for Swan Annex & Adjacent Bldgs

Background
The Government of the Virgin Islands, through its Department of Property and Procurement, is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a Hazmat Assessment & Abatement/Demolition project concerning the Swan Annex and adjacent buildings on behalf of the Bureau of Corrections.

The project aims to ensure safe removal and disposal of hazardous materials as part of the agency's commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following:
1. All general conditions, overhead, and profit must be included in the cost figures.
2. Costs must encompass removal, demolition, off-site transport, off-island transport (if required), and legal disposal of all materials.
3. The bidder must include costs for all required permits and fees in their proposal.

The estimated time to complete this project is 365 calendar days, with add alternates extending it to 375 calendar days.

Period of Performance
The contract period is estimated at 365 calendar days from the notice to proceed, with potential extensions based on add alternates.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Swan Annex and adjacent buildings, located within the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Corrections in the Virgin Islands.
