Bus Shelter Renovation Anna's Hope to Kingshill

Background
The Government of the Virgin Islands, through its Department of Property and Procurement, is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the renovation of bus shelters along the route from Anna's Hope to Kingshill in the St. Croix District.
This project aims to retrofit and refurbish bus shelters that were severely damaged by hurricanes Irma and Maria. The goal is to restore these facilities to ensure safe and reliable public transportation services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, machinery, and materials necessary for the retrofitting/refurbishing of 11 bus shelters as follows:
1) Install/Replace roof-mounted solar panels with photocell batteries and vandal-proof fluorescent fixtures; apply paint, primer, and finish; plaster damaged areas; install Vitran signs and refuse containers at various locations including Anna’s Hope, Princess Road, La Grande Princess, Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital, Diamond Ruby, Barron Spot, Strawberry, Estate Glynn, Mon Bijou, Estate Frangi Pani, and Kingshill.
2) Specific tasks include:
- Repairing gutters and downspouts where applicable.
- Field verification required for plastering.
- Installation of impact-resistant refuse containers with removable liners.

Period of Performance
The estimated time to complete this project is 120 calendar days upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various bus shelter locations from Anna's Hope to Kingshill in St. Croix.
