Woodside High School Main Distribution Switchboards Replacement

Background
The Woodside High School Main Distribution Switchboards Replacement project is initiated by Newport News Public Schools, located in Newport News, Virginia. The primary goal of this contract is to remove and replace the existing Main Distribution Switchboards at Woodside High School to ensure the electrical infrastructure meets current standards and operational needs.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the removal of two existing 4000 amp, 480Y/277-volt, 3-Phase, 4-Wire Main Distribution Switchboards and the installation of two new 4000 amp, 480Y/277-volt, 3-Phase, 4-Wire Distribution Switchboards. This involves disconnecting all existing feeder conductors from the old switchboards and reconnecting them to new branch circuit breakers in the newly installed switchboards. The contractor must comply with safety regulations and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

Period of Performance
The project construction is scheduled to start on June 15, 2026, with substantial completion expected by July 15, 2026. Final completion is anticipated by August 1, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
