Widewater State Park Paving

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), is seeking bids for the paving of the paddle launch access road at Widewater State Park. The project aims to enhance accessibility and safety for park visitors by repairing and sealing the existing gravel surface.

The DCR is committed to maintaining and improving state parks to support recreational activities and environmental conservation.

Work Details
The contractor will chip and seal approximately 10,230 square feet of asphalt pavement, specifically targeting 930 linear feet by 11 feet wide of the paddle launch access road. The scope includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, and supervision necessary for completion.

Work must be coordinated with park management and scheduled within five days of purchase order award, with completion no later than December 15, 2024. All work must comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding asphalt services. Contractors are encouraged to survey the site prior to bidding to understand site conditions including slight grades and turns.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within five days following the award of the purchase order and must be completed no later than December 15, 2024.

The work will be performed at Widewater State Park located at 101 Widewater State Park Road, Stafford VA 22554.
