VR Headsets with career exploration software

Background
The Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) is dedicated to providing vocational rehabilitation (VR) services to individuals with disabilities, ranging from high school students to adults. DARS operates through 30 field offices across Virginia, offering personalized career planning, skills assessment, job readiness and placement, advocacy and support, job accommodations, and assistive technology.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather insights on leasing immersive virtual reality (VR) headsets along with comprehensive virtual career exploration software to enhance their vocational services.

Work Details
The RFI seeks information on the lease of VR headsets and associated career exploration software. Vendors are requested to provide details on the following:
1. Description of VR headsets available for lease.
2. Career exploration software capabilities including:
- Researching and completing career paths (descriptions, high school courses, wage data, etc.).
- Development of skills, certifications, and academic requirements for careers.
- Interactive assessments matching users to career opportunities based on interests.
- Immersive VR scenarios allowing users to perform real-world tasks.
- A minimum of 49 different virtual reality career simulation opportunities.
- Tracking progress and completion of modules.
- Inclusion of Virtual Coaches for guidance and support.

Period of Performance
The responses to this RFI are due by August 8, 2025.

Responses should be submitted to the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services located at 8004 Franklin Farms Drive, Henrico, Virginia 23229.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide company information including name and address, point of contact details, relevant websites, and technical specifications of their offerings. Responses should not exceed five pages and can be submitted electronically or in writing.
