Vehicle Upfitting - Region 3 ( 2 vehicles)

Background
The Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) is seeking bids from qualified vendors to design, provide, and install emergency response equipment for two agency-provided vehicles. The goal is to finalize the emergency response package for these vehicles by installing necessary equipment such as warning lights, sirens, control modules, and electrical wiring. This solicitation specifically targets the upfitting of one 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe SSV and one 2024 Ford F350.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services and products:

1. **Vehicle Modifications**: Emergency response modifications including installation of:
- Exterior and interior emergency lighting.
- Cencom Core Controller with handheld mic.
- Cell phone booster.
- Tablet mount.
- Charge guard.

2. **Specific Equipment Requirements**:
- Installation of Whelen ION Wide Angle LED lights (4 units) behind the grill of the Tahoe.
- Installation of Whelen T-Series ION Wide Angle LED Lights (2 units) on the front bumper.
- Installation of a Whelen Inner Edge Lightbar (1 unit) on the front upper section.
- Installation of a CenCom CORE Amplifier controller with vehicle interface and siren speaker.
- Installation of a universal tablet mount capable of holding various tablets with specific dimensions.

3. **Inspection Requirements**: VDEM will inspect four areas during vehicle modification: interior lights and controls, exterior lights and controls, controller wiring and controls, and other electronic components prior to final assembly.

4. **Testing**: Completed vehicles must be tested for one hour with all emergency equipment operational before delivery.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to be 90 days for the Chevrolet Tahoe and 140 days for the Ford F350 from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within a 50-mile radius of VDEM Region 3 Office located at 116 N Main Street, Farmville, Virginia 23901.
