Vehicle Maintenance Service and Repair

Background
Richard Bland College is a two-year, residential, liberal arts transfer institution focused on preparing students for transfer to highly ranked colleges and universities. The college is located in a rural setting outside the Tri-Cities region, encompassing over 750 acres of wetlands and forests.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to establish a term contract for one year with four optional renewals for vehicle maintenance services, including necessary preventive maintenance services.

Work Details
The successful bidder shall provide all necessary labor, materials, supervision, equipment, services, incidentals, and related items required for the complete and satisfactory performance of full maintenance and repair services for all vehicles used by Richard Bland College. This includes inspections, adjustments, tests, and parts necessary to keep all vehicles in continuous use.

Services must be available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The contractor's location must be within 25 miles of the college campus. The contractor will conduct annual inspections of all vehicles and provide written reports detailing needed services or repairs along with cost estimates.

Specific tasks include routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake jobs, transmission flushes, radiator flushes, and more. All work must meet industry standards and use manufacturer-recommended parts.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a one-year period with four optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Richard Bland College located at 11301 Johnson Road, South Prince George VA 23805.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have ASE-certified technicians capable of performing the necessary repairs. They must maintain required licenses/certifications throughout the contract term. Bidders are required to submit written estimates for pre-approval before beginning work on any vehicle.
