VDH - Richmond - Henrico - Non-Emergency Medical Transportations Services

Background
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is seeking qualified vendors to provide scheduled non-emergency medical transportation support coverage for Richmond City and Henrico County Health Districts (RHHD). The awarded vendor will primarily serve as transportation for patients requiring ex-rays after visiting either health district and it is deemed necessary by the professional judgment of the onsite Physician and/or medical personnel.

Work Details
Vendors must be responsible, regularly, and practically engaged in providing non-emergency medical transportation services. The contractor shall have been actively engaged in this field for not less than 2 years and provide non-emergency medical transportation by all required state licenses and certifications for the provision of such services and by all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and ordinances.
The vendor shall maintain professional liability insurance coverage for the vendor and all personnel providing services and vehicles used according to the awarded project sourcing. Vendors shall be able to provide on-request business licenses, non-emergency medical transportation insurance, and business auto liability insurance. The vendor shall accept patient scheduling by a scheduling portal provided by the vendor or scheduling by phone call by RHHD staff. The departure locations include Richmond City Health District and Henrico County Health District with specific destination locations listed for each district.

Period of Performance
The period of contract is from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, with the possibility of renewal upon written agreement of both parties for three successive one-year periods under the terms of the current agreement.

The work will be performed at Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Richmond City Health District - 400 East Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23219; Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Henrico County Health District - 8600 Dixon Powers Drive, Richmond, VA 23228.
