VA ABC Stores 187 & 350 Snow and Ice Removal Services

Background
The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (Virginia ABC) is an independent political subdivision serving the Commonwealth of Virginia. It administers ABC laws with a focus on public safety and responsible consumption of alcohol. Virginia ABC operates over 400 retail stores and has contributed $12 billion to the Commonwealth's General Fund since its establishment in 1934, supporting various state programs.

The purpose of this Quick Quote is to solicit bids for snow and ice removal services for Virginia ABC Stores 187 & 350.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for snow and ice removal services during the seasonal months (October through April). Services include:
1. Immediate snow removal upon accumulation of at least three inches without prior approval from Virginia ABC.
2. Availability to respond within two hours upon notification from Virginia ABC.
3. Use of appropriate plows and commercial quality salt/sand spreading equipment.
4. Application of approved eco-friendly ice melt chemicals after snow removal.
5. Ensuring safe passage by preventing the build-up of ice and not blocking drainage areas.
6. Hand shovels or snow blowers must be used for sidewalks unless otherwise approved.
7. Service tickets must be signed by an authorized representative after each service.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from November 1, 2025, through October 31, 2026, with options for four one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at VA ABC Store 187 located at 2421 Venable Street, Richmond, VA 23223 and VA ABC Store 350 located at 11108 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23235.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in eVA and may need to provide proof of SWaM certification if applicable. Contractors are required to have experienced operators with valid driver's licenses and must comply with local/state noise control ordinances.

Material Safety Data Sheets must be provided for all chemicals used.
