Train Shed Roof Repairs

Background
The Science Museum of Virginia is seeking a qualified contractor to perform repairs to the train sheds located at their facility in Richmond, Virginia. The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and aesthetic quality of the train shed roofs, which are essential to the museum's operations and visitor experience.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, and materials necessary to repair the train shed roofs in the TrainYard of the Science Museum. The scope of work includes:

A. Remove and replace all rotted crown molding (Siewers model SI-8086).
B. Provide fascia boards and soffits as needed to match existing materials.
C. Prepare and paint two coats on the entire soffit overhang with paint matching the existing color.
D. Demolish and reinstall up to 100 soffit boards under canopy walkways.
E. Seal both sides of new tongue and groove soffit boards before installation.
F. Clean up and remove any work-related trash daily; note that museum dumpsters will not be available for contractor use.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and continue until all work is completed to the satisfaction of the Science Museum.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Science Museum of Virginia, located at 2500 West Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23220.
