Traffic Signal Controller Cabinets & Controllers

Background
The City of Suffolk's Department of Public Works Traffic Engineering Division is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to establish a contract with a qualified contractor for the provision of traffic signal controller cabinets and controllers.
The goal is to enhance the city's traffic management capabilities through reliable equipment. This contract will be executed on an as-needed basis, ensuring that the city can respond effectively to its traffic control needs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide traffic signal controller cabinets and controllers as specified in the IFB. The specifications include:
- Compliance with the City of Suffolk Standard Specifications for Ground Mounted ATC Traffic Signal Controller Cabinets (Release 1.1, February 26, 2025).
- Provision of Eight Phase Traffic Signal Controllers by McCain Incorporated – ATC eX2 Model or an approved equal.
- Delivery of cabinets/controllers must be F.O.B. destination to the Public Works Traffic Engineering building located at 800 Carolina Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434.
- A complete cabinet sample will be required from the selected vendor for review and approval prior to final contract execution.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on April 1, 2025, and conclude on March 31, 2026. The City reserves the right to renew this agreement for four additional one-year periods, extending until March 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Public Works Traffic Engineering building located at 800 Carolina Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434.
