Town of White Stone - Sewage Collection and Treatment System - Phase 2 - Advertisement for Bids

Background
The Town of White Stone, located in Lancaster County, Virginia, is seeking bids for the construction of the Sewage Collection and Treatment System - Phase 2. This project aims to enhance the wastewater management capabilities of the town, aligning with its mission to provide effective and sustainable waste management solutions for its residents.

Work Details
The project includes the installation of a low-pressure wastewater collection system for designated areas in the town as part of Phase II. Additionally, it involves constructing a new wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 40,000 gallons per day (GPD) utilizing moving bed biological reactor technology.

A subsurface drip irrigation disposal system will also be installed. The new treatment plant is designed to operate independently from existing facilities that may be out of service. The subsurface drip irrigation disposal system and the 40,000 GPD wastewater treatment plant are identified as bid alternates A and B, respectively.
