Term Contract for Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, Surveying, and Dam Safety Engineering Services

Background
The Department of Wildlife Resources is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Term Contract for Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, Surveying, and Dam Safety Engineering Services. The agency aims to enhance its efficiency in obtaining professional engineering assistance for various small projects, which include investigations, studies, reports, and designs related to outdoor facilities and activities. This contract will help reduce costs and time associated with advertising and developing multiple RFPs.

Work Details
The selected Architect/Engineer (A/E) will provide a range of services under this contract including: evaluations, analysis, recommendations, cost and time estimates, reports, feasibility studies, preparation of schematic or preliminary designs, field inspections and investigations, and code compliance investigations specifically for civil, environmental, geotechnical, surveying and dam safety projects.

The A/E will also develop Preliminary Design submissions consistent with the A/E Manual requirements and respond to review agency comments. Complete contract documents for small project designs will be provided as per project orders issued during the contract term. Additional services may include investigating problems and preparing recommendations for corrective actions as well as preparing cost estimates and feasibility studies for proposed projects.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year with the option to renew for three additional one-year terms at the agency's discretion.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed statewide in Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA. The agency encourages participation from small businesses certified by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (DSBSD), aiming to exceed a target goal of 42% on discretionary spending with such businesses.
