Tableau Dashboard Creation and Related Consulting Services (URFP 242-25-00084-DH)

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia is issuing this Unsealed Request for Proposal (URFP) to solicit proposals from qualified Contractors for Tableau Dashboard creation services and related consulting services for Christopher Newport University (CNU), a public university in Newport News, Virginia. CNU serves approximately 5,000 students and emphasizes leadership, civic engagement, and academic rigor across various disciplines.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide the following services: develop and deliver between six (6) to eight (8) fully operational data tables using Tableau software. Each table must be interactive, visually accessible, incorporate relevant datasets, include filtering and sorting functionalities, support ongoing updates, and be approved by the client prior to acceptance.

The Contractor must work on-site with CNU's internal team for requirement gathering and user acceptance testing. Proficiency in Oracle SQL, Tableau (including data blending and custom visualizations), and the ability to preprocess data from Excel, Google Sheets, and Oracle is required. Additionally, the Contractor must ensure compliance with FERPA requirements for protected data.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue through June 30, 2026, with an option for one (1) additional year of renewal.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at Christopher Newport University located at 1 Avenue of the Arts, Newport News, VA 23606-3072.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must possess a Virginia Contractor License and may need to demonstrate DSBSD certification as a Small Business. They are required to submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan as part of their proposal.
