Stone for Tye River WMA

Background
The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources is issuing a solicitation for the procurement of stone for the Tye River Wildlife Management Area (WMA). This initiative aims to support the agency's mission of managing wildlife resources and habitats effectively. The contract is intended to provide necessary materials for ongoing conservation efforts at the Tye River WMA.

Work Details
Contractor(s) shall furnish and deliver stone to Tye River Wildlife Management Area as specified. Tailgate spreading is not required; the stone shall be stockpiled on site. All deliveries must be completed by March 7, 2025. The materials must conform to the applicable standards set forth by the most recent edition of the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specification Book.

The quantities required are:
1. Up to 500 tons of #357 granite stone
2. Up to 400 tons of #57 granite stone
3. Up to 100 tons of gabion/riprap (8"–10")

Awarded quantities may be limited based on project funding availability, and exact quantities will be specified in purchase orders issued after award. DWR will accept an overdelivery for any line-item of up to 5 tons or 20% of the required amount, whichever is less, billed at the unit price of the winning bid.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from the date of award through March 7, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Tye River Wildlife Management Area, located at 7145 Norwood Road, Norwood, VA 24581.
