The Staunton Augusta Waynesboro Animal Shelter project is initiated by Augusta County, Virginia, with the goal of relocating the municipal shelter's assets from Lyndhurst, VA to a new facility in Verona, VA. This move is essential for the operational continuity of the animal shelter as it transitions to a new location.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for moving various items including file cabinets (with and without files), desks, chairs, miscellaneous furniture, file boxes, animal supplies, animal food, cat cages, and other cages from 1001 Mt. Torrey Road, Lyndhurst, VA to 1011 Lee Highway, Verona, VA.

Specific requirements include:
1) All items must be marked for their new location;
2) The contractor will load items in Lyndhurst and unload them at the new shelter without loading docks or pallet jacks available;
3) Cat cage banks must be partially disassembled for transport and reassembled at the new location after being power washed;
4) Two moving events are planned: one for all items except operational supplies and a second smaller load for temporary operation needs;
5) Both moves should ideally occur within one to two days;
6) Coordination with shelter staff is required for the schedule of moving cat cages;
7) Any damage during the move will be the contractor's responsibility.

Period of Performance
The moving activities are tentatively scheduled for mid-September 2025, depending on the completion of renovations at the new shelter.
