Smr New Loading Dock/Ramp/Demo Of Existing Loading Dock

Background
The State Military Reservation (SMR) in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is seeking sealed bids for the construction of a new multi-level, stand-alone concrete loading dock. This includes the removal of an existing temporary loading dock made of wood and gravel. This project is part of the agency's efforts to enhance operational capabilities at the facility.

Work Details
The work includes site preparation, excavation, concrete footings, formwork, steel reinforcing, site grading, and selective demolition. The contractor will be responsible for the complete construction of the new loading dock as well as the total removal of the existing wooden loading dock. This includes backfill and final grading. The work is classified as non-capital construction.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within 80 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion shall occur within 30 consecutive calendar days after substantial completion.

The work will be performed at The State Military Reservation located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. A Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond are required regardless of bid amount. Contractors must also maintain insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
