Background
The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is seeking information to understand the market for Security, Server, and Data Center Services. VITA serves over 60 executive branch state agencies and 55,000 state employees in Virginia, aiming to equip them to serve the state's 8.6 million residents. The agency focuses on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, and procurement services, driving critical connections between Virginians and their government.

Work Details
VITA is interested in market insights regarding Public and Private Cloud Data Center Services. They seek to learn about suppliers providing these services and how they are structured in the marketplace. VITA's current infrastructure includes both virtualized and physical servers, utilizing Dell NAS/SAN for storage and VMware for virtualization. The physical servers are primarily from Dell and IBM Power Server families, with Oracle Private Cloud Appliance hosts also in use.

VITA operates two physical Data Centers located in Sandston and Ashburn, Virginia, supporting approximately 4000 servers (300 physical) and 1.5 Petabytes of storage. They currently offer Public Cloud services via AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.

Period of Performance
The RFI was issued on April 29, 2025, with responses due by May 29, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at VITA's Data Centers located in Sandston and Ashburn, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
VITA is committed to increasing procurement opportunities for small, women-owned, and minority-owned (SWaM) businesses. Suppliers responding to the RFI should be prepared to provide information regarding their experience with Server, Storage, and Data Center Services in Public, Private, and Hybrid Clouds.
