Security Services

Background
The Portsmouth Health Department, part of the Virginia Department of Health, is seeking to procure security services to enhance safety and security at its facility located at 1701 High Street, Portsmouth, VA 23704.

The goal of this contract is to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors while complying with all relevant regulations and standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive security services which include but are not limited to: monitoring and patrolling the premises, managing access control, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety of all individuals on site.

Additionally, the contractor must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Portsmouth Health Department as an additional insured. Services will be billed at an hourly rate as specified in the bid submission.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from February 3, 2025, through January 31, 2026, with an option for renewal for one additional year upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Portsmouth Health District located at 1701 High Street, Suite 102, Portsmouth, VA 23704.
