RFP 3180 Identity and Access Management Platform

Background
The Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS), also referred to as the School Board of the City of Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking proposals for an Identity and Access Management Platform to enhance cybersecurity measures for its broadband Wide Area Network and Internet access services.
This initiative aims to secure student data and ensure compliance with federal funding requirements from the Cybersecurity Pilot Program offered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Work Details
The contract involves providing a secure identity and access management solution that includes:
- A single-sign-on interface for accessing approved digital applications and network files.
- Multifactor Authentication options for students.
- Data encryption during transit.
- Automated identity management capabilities.
- Real-time account reconciliation and deactivation features.
- The ability to generate data logs compatible with security information and event management systems (SIEM).
- Interoperability with Synergy Student Information System and Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
- Support for badge detection using barcodes or QR codes.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon receipt of the Funding Commitment Decision Letter from the FCC and will last for three years, with a potential one-year extension at the discretion of RCPS.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of Roanoke City Public Schools, Virginia.
