RFP 3178 Digital Resource Inventory

Background
The Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS), also referred to as the School Board of the City of Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking proposals for a Digital Resource Inventory to enhance cybersecurity protection for its broadband Wide Area Network and Internet access services.
This initiative is part of the agency's mission to ensure safe and secure educational environments through improved technology infrastructure.
The funding for this project will be requested from the Cybersecurity Pilot Program offered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Work Details
The contract involves the purchase and implementation of a digital resource inventory system that provides real-time analytics on application usage and engagement.
Key features include:
1. Capability to measure return on application investments.
2. Tools for rostering, account provisioning, and security management.
3. An internal-facing and public-facing inventory of digital resources categorized by approval status.
4. Integration with devices such as Google Chromebooks, Windows devices, Apple devices, Microsoft Azure, and Synergy Student Information System.
5. Ability to interface with existing Internet filter and classroom management systems, controlling app access based on approval status.
6. Inclusion of third-party risk assessments for the inventory system.
7. Proposals must comply with FCC regulations regarding national security risks associated with equipment manufacturing.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will commence upon receipt of the Funding Commitment Decision Letter from the FCC or three years from that date, with a potential extension of one additional year at RCPS's discretion.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of Roanoke City Public Schools in Virginia.
