Stafford County, Virginia is seeking proposals from qualified professional Architectural and/or Engineering (A/E) firms to establish term contracts for transportation engineering services. Work Details
The contract will encompass three categories of services:
A. Transportation Planning & Studies: This includes transportation planning and modeling services such as training, travel demand management, traffic impact studies, corridor studies, and more. All work must comply with VDOT's LAP Manual and other relevant specifications.
B. Transportation Construction Engineering Inspection: Services include construction management for County projects, ensuring compliance with construction drawings, project site representation, material testing/inspection, and more. Key personnel must include a Responsible Charge Engineer with 7+ years of experience, a Construction Manager with 5+ years of experience, and various inspectors.
C. Transportation Engineering & Design: This involves project management and engineering design elements for public roadways including preliminary designs, safety improvements, signal timing modifications, right-of-way acquisition management, etc. Key personnel must include an Engineer Project Manager with 15+ years of experience and other specialized engineers.
Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year with the option for three additional one-year renewals.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Stafford County.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must have a full-time regional office within 3 hours of Stafford County. They are required to comply with VDOT's requirements for LAP projects and must be registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Additionally, Offerors should demonstrate their capacity to engage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) or Small Women-Owned Minority-Owned (SWaM) businesses.
