RFP 255000005 Public Address (PA) System for the Christiansburg Aquatic Center

Background
The Town of Christiansburg, Virginia is seeking qualified firms to submit proposals for the design and installation of a public address system for the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
The goal of this contract is to enhance communication capabilities within the facility, aligning with the Town's mission to provide quality services to its community.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Purchase, installation, and programming of a new DSP processor and amplifier(s) for signal routing and loudspeaker processing.
2. Installation of a new wall control panel for source selection and volume control across loudspeaker zones.
3. Installation and programming of a new power sequencer.
4. The mixer must control sound in six separate zones: competition end course, diving well, upstairs mezzanine, locker rooms, sun deck, and leisure pool.
5. Installation of twenty-two (22) 70V or low impedance loudspeakers with wall mounts.
6. Installation of ten (10) weather-resistant loudspeakers with yokes.
7. Provision of a basic USB audio interface for playing pre-recorded announcements and background music.
8. Installation of two local microphone inputs and two local line inputs to the DSP processor for announcements and future playback sources integration. One microphone input must be dedicated for announcements with appropriate DSP programming to override other sources in use.
9. Provision of two XLR microphones with cabling, one wireless microphone with receiver, and one wireless headset microphone with receiver.
10. Bluetooth compatibility is optional but can be included as an added feature.
11. Removal and disposal of all old equipment and wiring replaced during this project.

Period of Performance
The expected completion date for all work is no later than June 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center located at 595 North Franklin Street, Christiansburg, Virginia.
