Scope of ServicesThe purpose of this Request for Proposal is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contractor contracts through competitive negotiation for the provision of Educational and Related Services for Danville Public Schools (DPS).Educational and Related Services to be provided under the awarded contract shall include but not be limited to the following:Responsibilities: Danville Public Schools (DPS) is in search of a qualified provider for educational and related services to eligible students ages Preschool through High School who require services. Vendor shall have knowledge of the requirements of IDEA and the Virginia Department of Education Regulations. Also of benefit is experience working in the school environment to accommodate various student/teacher schedules. We are very interested in a provider with an understanding of the special education referral and evaluation process as well as the responsibilities associated as being a member of the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team to provide progress reports and recommendations. We are interested in a provider who can provide services from a school-based perspective at an affordable cost. We would also expect the contracted personnel to follow school division policies and procedures and assure student confidentiality. The vendor must provide documentation of therapist's qualifications and licensure and proof of liability and malpractice insurance.A. Contractor will coordinate, conduct, and execute a schedule for Educational and Related Services for the Danville Public Schools within 14 days of contract award, and make an oral or written presentation of findings and recommendations for maximum implementation of services. The Educational and Related Services will consist of the following for grades Preschool through High School: Contract personnel must be a qualified provider and fully licensed; Contract personnel must have knowledge of the requirements of IDEA and the Virginia Department of Education Regulations; Conducting screenings; Participating in the Child Study Process; Determining the number of students with disabilities requiring Educational and Related Services via Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or the screening process; Reviewing the goals and objectives of the IEP; Implementing the services of the IEP; Developing IEP goals and objectives; Contacting parents and school staff as appropriate; Recommending eligibility and termination of educational and/or related services as appropriate; Developing reports as required by the Danville Public Schools Office of Exceptional Children; Participating in all required IEP Team and Eligibility meetings; Conducting and interpreting assessment results; Using appropriate materials and resources to provide speech and language therapy services.B. Provide services using flexible delivery models such as face-to-face (preferred), teletherapy and or other hybrid delivery system format.C. Identify goals and objectives of the IEP;D. Implement goals and objectives of the IEP;E. Monitor and maintain compliance of services and the IEP process.F. Maintain logging and documentation in accordance with district procedures for billing and provision of services.Proposers must provide a detailed outline of the services to be provided to the Danville Public Schools for a comprehensive level for Educational and Related Services. At a minimum, proposers are to provide the following services:Contractor will coordinate, conduct, and execute a schedule for Educational and Related Services for the Danville Public Schools within 14 days of contract award and make an oral or written presentation of findings and recommendations for maximum implementation of services.This information will be considered the minimum content of the proposal. Proposal contents shall be arranged in the same order and identified with headings as presented herein.Qualifications of Firm and Staff: Applicants are to provide information adequately describing their specific areas of expertise and other background information which may be useful in the evaluation process. This section should also include r sum s of key individuals who would, in all probability, be involved in providing the requested services. R sum s should adequately describe an individual s experience and area(s) of expertise. Information pertaining to professional licenses or certifications held by individuals who will be providing services should also be included in response to this Request for Proposal. The minimum requirements for each firm/provider are as follows and documentation must be provided to verify these requirements are met:1. National Provider Identifier, if applicable2. Providers licenses 3. Documentation of training, acknowledgement and acceptance of HIPPA regulations4. Demonstrate experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting5. Provide evidence of ongoing professional development and training

Work Details

Services will be performed at various locations within Danville Public Schools, Virginia.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate qualifications including:
- A National Provider Identifier if applicable.
- Relevant licenses.
- Training documentation acknowledging HIPAA regulations.
- Experience working with children in educational settings.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Additionally, all employees must pass a Virginia State Police background check before working on school sites.
