Background
Old Dominion University (ODU) is a public R1 doctoral research institution located in Norfolk, Virginia, with a focus on high-quality research and education. 3. Engagement with faculty, staff, and the ODU community during the planning phase.
4. Site evaluation and conceptual site planning that includes parking, delivery access, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, accessibility considerations, stormwater management, and utilities.
5. Preparation of full site surveys, geotechnical reports, and environmental impact studies.
6. Development of construction documents that comply with applicable codes and standards.
7. Coordination with various stakeholders including AV/ITS consultants for technology integration in the building design.
8. Construction administration services including on-site observations throughout construction.
Period of Performance
The contract will be executed as a single project service with an anticipated timeline that includes various phases such as programming, conceptual design, schematic design, preliminary design, working drawings, and construction administration.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Old Dominion University's Norfolk campus in Virginia.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be registered vendors in eVA prior to contract award. The A/E firm must have experience with projects exceeding $5 million in construction costs completed within the last ten years. Participation from micro businesses, small businesses, and businesses owned by women or minorities is encouraged through partnerships or subcontracts.
