RFP # 25-01 Professional Leadership Training

Background
Montgomery County, VA is issuing RFP # 25-01 to solicit proposals for licensed qualified sources to provide professional training for leaders. The RFP is issued on behalf of New River Valley Local Government Partners, including Montgomery County, Town of Blacksburg, Town of Christiansburg, Pulaski County, Town of Pulaski, and City of Radford. The purpose and intent of this RFP is to establish a contract through competitive negotiations associated with providing professional training for leaders.

Work Details
The Contractor needs to provide interactive leadership training to the members of the New River Valley Local Government Partners, focusing on the core principles of advanced leadership essential to mid-level, senior, or executive-level managers in local government. The series should ideally have 8-12 sessions (twice per month), lasting approximately three months, and should be offered at least twice per year.
Desired training topics may include transformational leadership, self-awareness, employee engagement, coaching, utilizing evaluations for positive growth and development, accountability, and critical thinking.
The Contractor will be responsible for communicating with the localities and participants directly, preparing all related printed materials, providing make-up sessions, coordinating a final recognition program for all participants and representatives from localities, and providing additional ad hoc training sessions on specialized topics as identified and requested by the members of the New River Valley Local Government Partners.

Period of Performance
The term of this contract is for one (1) year or as negotiated with an option for four (4) one-year renewals or as negotiated.

Place of Performance
The training is held in a central location in the New River Valley area as conducive for travel for all participants.
