RFP 24-022 Data Governance, Warehousing, Analytics, Strategy, and Implementation

Background
Fairfax Water is soliciting proposals for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Data Governance Strategy. Fairfax Water, also known as FW, is a public, non-profit water utility governed by a 10-member Board of Directors composed of Fairfax County citizens and appointed by the elected Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The utility provides water to nearly two million people in Northern Virginia communities and operates four water treatment facilities with an average daily water production of 166 million gallons.

Work Details
The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain the services of a qualified offeror to provide a comprehensive solution for Data Governance, Warehousing, and Analytics. The objectives include enhancing data governance practices, improving reporting and dashboard capabilities, implementing a data warehouse/data lake solution, addressing data cleansing inconsistencies, and optimizing reporting.

The scope of responsibilities includes tasks such as analysis, design, development, implementation of framework, change management, data warehouse/data lake design and pilot, and implementation.

Period of Performance
The tentative schedule includes the deadline for submitting proposals on May 3, 2024. The oral presentations are scheduled for June 10-14, 2024, negotiations from June 17 to July 5, 2024, and the contract commencement on August 1, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Fairfax Water's location at 8570 Executive Park Avenue in Fairfax, Virginia.
