Work Details

Services will include developing a comprehensive baseline maintenance program in accordance with the City of Salem Nutrient Management Plan (NMP), implementing enhanced standards for sports turf management, conducting preventative pest management practices, monitoring turf conditions, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pesticide applications. The contractor must also maintain records of all fertilizer applications as required by the Virginia Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a period of one (1) year with the option to renew for five (5) additional one (1) year periods upon mutual agreement on costs.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various City-owned locations in Salem, Virginia including Moyer Sports Complex, Kiwanis Field, Salem Memorial Ballfield, and several schools within the city.
