Background
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is a public university located in Richmond, VA, with multiple campuses and satellite locations. The university is facing increased demand for on-campus housing due to growing enrollment projections and a rising off-campus market.

Work Details
The solicitation aims to engage eligible Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms in competitive negotiations for professional design services of new student housing. The project should include 1,000 to 1,250 beds featuring single bedroom units, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and four-bedroom apartment-style units, as well as semi-suites.
Additionally, the project site will encompass specific streets and buildings that will be demolished. The program also includes spaces for dining areas, retail use, security access points, administrative offices, mail/package area, community spaces, and suitable community spaces for social and academic purposes.
