RFP 2000004233 Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation & Response (SOAR) solution

Background
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is seeking to establish a contract for Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Security Information & Event Management (SIEM), and Security Orchestration, Automation & Response (SOAR) solutions. The goal is to enhance cybersecurity measures in response to increasing threats targeting K-12 environments. This initiative aims to improve incident response times and streamline security operations across its extensive network of approximately 260,000 user accounts and 90,000 endpoints.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
- 24/7 security monitoring and incident response capabilities.
- Integration of MDR, SIEM, and SOAR solutions to address tool sprawl and enhance visibility across systems.
- Centralized logging for compliance reporting and operational diagnostics.
- Automation of response processes to improve efficiency in handling incidents.
- Support for existing CrowdStrike EDR solution while ensuring no additional endpoint agents are required.
- Provision of a minimum of three references from comparable user bases with approximately 80,000 endpoints each.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will last for five years, with the possibility of renewal as specified in the contract terms.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at FCPS data centers located at 8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church, Virginia, and 3701 Franconia Road, Alexandria, Virginia. The contractor may also operate from outside the U.S., provided compliance with specific conditions regarding data hosting.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be U.S.-based companies. Data hosting can occur outside the U.S., but not in countries designated as Level 4 on the U.S. Department of State travel advisory list. Offerors must provide evidence of at least five years of continuous experience in providing MDR, SIEM, or SOAR solutions.
