RFP 04152025-1400 Professional Engineering Services

Background
King George County, Virginia, a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, along with the King George County Service Authority (KGCSA), is seeking to engage qualified firms to provide Professional Engineering Services.
The goal of this contract is to support the county's various engineering needs through a competitive procurement process that allows for fair consideration of interested Offerors.

Work Details
The Professional Engineering Services required under this contract include but are not limited to: general civil engineering, site plan review, traffic and transportation engineering, structural engineering, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, surveying, geotechnical services, construction management and inspection services.
The services will be provided on an 'as needed and as requested' basis for a broad range of projects. Specific tasks may include:
- Civil Engineering: Water modeling and analysis; design and permitting for water and wastewater systems; site plan development; feasibility studies; construction inspections; land appraisals; cost estimates.
- Traffic and Transportation: Design services for transportation facilities; traffic signal design; traffic impact analysis; data collection and forecasting.
- Structural Engineering: Condition assessments; design services for renovations and new constructions.
- MEP Engineering: Compliance studies; design services for alterations.
- Geotechnical Engineering: Soil investigations; foundation recommendations; compliance testing.
- Environmental Engineering: Monitoring hazardous elements; environmental impact analysis.
- Surveying Services: Boundary surveys, topographic surveys, etc.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the Agreement shall be twelve (12) months from the date of execution. KGC has the option to renew the contract for up to four (4) additional twelve (12) month periods based on mutual consent.

Place of Performance
The services will primarily be performed within King George County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
All Offerors must be registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Proposals must include proof of Authorization to Transact Business in Virginia.
Additionally, all engineering firms must comply with applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
