RFP 01-1201-25 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant

Background
The City of Williamsburg is seeking qualified firms to provide consulting services for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The goal is to foster a welcoming culture that values the diverse knowledge, skills, abilities, and perspectives of its workforce.

The City aims to create an environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and included.

Work Details
The consultant will be responsible for providing DEI consulting services which include:
- Conducting staff training programs on cultural inclusion and competencies for all 238 employees;
- Engaging with community members through surveys and focus groups;
- Developing a DEI strategy in collaboration with the executive team;
- Evaluating current governance protocols and processes related to DEI;
- Providing ongoing support throughout the contract term.

The consultant may also propose additional optional services beyond the initial deliverables. Training modalities should prefer in-person sessions, but a hybrid arrangement is acceptable. The consultant will need to engage with specific community groups as required.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 3-5 years.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at 401 Lafayette Street, Williamsburg, VA 23185, with some remote work possible.
