RFP #001-2025 Special Education Services

Background
King William County Public Schools (KWCPS) is seeking proposals from qualified providers for contractual services in special education, specifically for Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy, Vision Services, and Hearing Services. The goal of this contract is to enhance the educational support provided to students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary therapies as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). KWCPS reserves the right to award contracts in part or in whole based on the proposals received.

Work Details
The services required under this contract include:

- Physical Therapy (PT) services for approximately 13 students at 4 schools, with sessions averaging 30 minutes, one to two times per week as per IEPs.
- Occupational Therapy (OT) services for approximately 106 students at 4 schools, also averaging 30 minutes per session, one to two times per week as outlined in IEPs.
- Speech Therapy services for approximately 69 students at 4 schools, with similar session lengths and frequencies.
- Vision Services for approximately 1 student at 4 schools, following the same session guidelines.
- Hearing Services for approximately 4 students at 4 schools, adhering to the same IEP requirements.

All services must be documented and reported within KWCPS's system of record (Virginia IEP). Providers are responsible for rescheduling missed sessions due to therapist absence and must submit monthly reports detailing service provision.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. It may be renewed for four additional one-year terms if both parties agree in writing.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within King William County Public Schools.
