Replacement and Expansion of Concrete Pad at Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department ES-25-06

Background
The County of Louisa, Virginia is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for the demolition, removal, and replacement of a concrete section at the Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department. This project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Removal of a broken concrete section measuring 5 feet by 60 feet and preparation of the site.

2. Pouring a new concrete slab measuring 60 feet by 62 feet with a thickness of 6 inches, using 4000 psi concrete mixed with fiber and wire mesh reinforcement.

3. Sidewalk spoils from the demolition must either be left on-site or loaded into dumpsters provided by Louisa County.

All work must comply with The Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC), Commonwealth of Virginia Construction and Professional Services Manual (CPSM), and all applicable EPA, OSHA, NIOSH regulations.

Period of Performance

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department located at 143 Factory Mill Road, Bumpass, Virginia 23024.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be properly licensed to perform the specified work in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia. They must also provide a certificate of insurance endorsing the County of Louisa as an additional insured. Additionally, bidders are required to submit evidence of their capabilities and experience in similar projects.
