Replace Roof Godbey Hall at New River Community College, PC # 260-B5260-018 (M25NR108)

Background
The Virginia Community College System is issuing a solicitation for the construction of the Godbey Hall Roof Replacement project at New River Community College, located in Dublin, Virginia. The project aims to replace the existing roof with a new 90 Mil single ply EPDM roof system, along with new insulation, flashing, and sheet metal accessories. This initiative is part of the agency's commitment to maintaining and improving its facilities to support educational services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Installation of a new 90 Mil single ply EPDM roof system;
- Installation of new insulation;
- Installation of flashing and sheet metal accessories;
- Removal and replacement of deteriorated wood nailers where authorized and directed;
- Proper disposal off-site of removed materials.

The project also includes specific quantities for work items such as the removal and replacement of deteriorated 1/2" (8" wide) plywood blocking, priced per lineal foot (LF). The total base bid amount will include all labor, equipment, materials, and necessary work as specified in the plans and specifications dated October 14, 2025.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within 160 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement as specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion must be achieved within 30 consecutive calendar days after substantial completion.

The work will be performed at New River Community College, located at 5251 College Drive, Dublin, Virginia 24084.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required for any bid regardless of amount. Bidders must comply with licensing requirements under Virginia law:
- Class A Contractor license is required for contracts valued at $120,000 or more or if total construction value exceeds $750,000 within any twelve-month period;
- Class B Contractor license is required for contracts between $10,000 and $120,000 or if total construction value exceeds $150,000 but less than $750,000 within any twelve-month period.
