Renovate Skilled Trades Labs at Germanna Community College, Fredericksburg Campus, PC# 260-18721-011 (C25GC111)

Background
The Virginia Community College System is inviting sealed bids for the renovation of skilled trades labs at Germanna Community College, Fredericksburg Campus. The project aims to enhance the Workforce Technology Center by renovating classrooms and circulation spaces to support the expansion of skilled trades education. This project is classified as a Level II Alteration according to the 2021 Virginia Existing Building Code.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Demolition of a wall to combine adjacent classrooms.
- Addition of electrical receptacles to accommodate additional equipment.
- Replacement of ceiling lighting fixtures.
- Installation of an exterior storefront door.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within a specified timeframe as determined by the Owner. Substantial completion is required within thirty (30) days after that date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Germanna Community College, located at 10000 Germanna Point Dr., Fredericksburg, Virginia 22408.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA and provide a Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond (form CO-10.2) along with Contract Security for any bid amount. They must also comply with licensing requirements as per Virginia law, including being licensed as either a Class A or Class B Contractor depending on the total value of the contract.
